Hello, Im Kelly, I live in a small village right on the Essex/Suffolk border with my husband, two wonderful teenagers and Slim Shady our black and white cat. 

I have been very fortunate to be a stay at home mum. As my children started school I re-trained to support teaching and learning in schools and worked supporting children and their families for several years in a local primary school. During this time I recognised how having a good support network is absolutely crucial for families to thrive, having always been fascinated by pregnancy, birth and those early parenting weeks I decided to train as a doula so that I could offer that support right from the very beginning - it was the best decision! 

I gained my doula certification and accreditation at The Birth Bliss Academy with the award winning author and renowned doula Kicki Hansard.

To support you and your partner at this exciting and special time is my absolute privilege. I will provide both emotional and practical support alongside up to date evidence based information to enable you to make informed choices about your maternity care that suit you and your family. 

Everyone’s pregnancy, birth and family situations are unique and I will tailor my support to meet your individual needs, wishes and desires to help you achieve a positive birth experience – whatever that looks like for you. I am able to support you and your partner wherever you decide to birth your baby-  in a midwife lead unit, in hospital or at home. I am also able to support Caesarean births. 

Following  the birth of your baby I can provide practical and emotional support to ease your transition into parenthood. I can assist with breast/bottle feeding, offer guidance and encouragement on newborn care, run errands, look after baby whilst you rest/ sleep or shower or simply make you a cup of tea and provide a listening ear. 

My aim is to make sure new and expectant parent(s) feel safe, knowledgeable and looked after as they embark on all the ups and downs that being a new parent brings.
