I completed my doula training with Nurturing Birth, where I developed a strong understanding of the doula role and the importance of providing continuous, person-centred support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. The training reinforced my belief that every family deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered in their choices, while equipping me with the knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based information, emotional support, and practical guidance during this transformative time.
I hold an Early Years degree and a PGCE with an Early Years specialism, giving me a strong foundation in child development, family support, and evidence-based practice. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with families and young children, establishing and facilitating baby and toddler groups within both the local community and a further education college setting. I am also a qualified Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and currently work as a Trainer Assessor in Early Years Education.
Alongside my professional experience, I am a mother of five children. My own journey has included fertility challenges, miscarriage, Caesarean birth, water birth, breastfeeding, and the experience of having a premature baby who spent time in NICU. These experiences have taught me that every family's journey is unique and that compassionate, non-judgemental support can make a profound difference.
I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my role as a doula, allowing me to support families with empathy, understanding, and respect. My aim is to help parents feel informed, confident, and supported as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood in the way that feels right for them.
