Birth Debriefs, Perinatal Mental Health Support, Space Cleansing (decluttering, revamping and organising)
I’m Laura, Scottish but living in London for 20 years. I’m a mother of two girls who are now 9 and 6. My passion for ‘doula-ing’ started when my sister had her second child, 12 years ago. I noticed that by keeping her space in order, being one step ahead of the laundry and cooking and giving her one to one time with her firstborn, her experience was easier, smoother, kinder. I had no support when I had both my children and really felt it. My husband worked long hours and I’d spend my days caring for tiny children, exhausted and always feeling a step (or two) behind. To have had help, support, hot tea made for me and dinner in the oven would have made a huge difference to my physical and mental health. That’s why I decided to become a post natal doula, so I could provide this to other parents. My intentions are to make family life easier, softer, gentler. To go at your pace whilst have your home ticking away for you. To give you space to heal from your birth and to empower you to make your own parenting choices regardless of what the books say. I’m a believer in going with your gut and looking after yourself – happy parent, happy baby. My skills include working with perinatal mental health, pregnancy trauma (I suffered 2 hypermesis pregnancies), birth trauma and space cleansing (clear space, clear mind – even with all the kids stuff!). I have lots of experience with breastfeeding and bottle feeding. My first child had a tongue tie and was bottle fed for 3 weeks. With guidance, I managed to get her back to breastfeeding after this and breastfed her until she was over 2. I can offer you:
- Post natal gift packages (please enquire for details)
- Homemade nutritional food and snack preparation
- Birth debriefs
- Perinatal mental health support
- Space cleansing (decluttering, revamping your space)
- Flower baths
- Emotional, practical and informational support
I am happy to work with you in the evening and at weekends and I love dogs, cats – any animals. If you’d like to chat please reach me on 07886933063. I look forward to chatting with you. Other qualifications include; perinatal mental health award, qualified health coach, pediatric first aid, 3 step rewind training.

“Laura was helping us (first time parents) with our baby girl. She was a tremendous help and an absolute savior of our life and sanity! She made us feel comfortable with her from the moment she stepped in – she was equally amazing looking after our baby, our house, cooking, helping me recover and rest. We don’t have family support in the UK and having Laura with us felt like family. Thank you so very much!” – Maria P
“Laura was truly amazing, such a warm and kind hearted person. We were so lucky to find her. We were anxious about the postpartum period having to care for a toddler and newborn but she eased our transition so much. She was able to do a variety of tasks and intuitively knew what would be the most useful. Whether it was looking after older sibling, general tidying up, laundry or cooking, there was nothing she couldn’t do. She was a wizard in the kitchen with amazing taste and could make up a meal from nothing. On top of this she was very easygoing and flexible with the hours which was very important to us. We couldn’t recommend her highly enough and our whole family is always going to remember her fondly” – Julia O
”Laura came swooping in just when I needed her. She praised everything I was doing and offered help and advice on how to make my life easier.
Laura is friendly and likeable and I felt like I’d known her for ages from our very first meeting. She feels far more like family than paid help!
As a first time mum I trusted Laura’s advice and experience and found her invaluable.” -Gillian S
