Laura Wynn

Mentored Birth Doula

Welcome, My journey into this work began with becoming a mum. I have three boys, I live in Abergavenny, Wales and originally from Bristol. Each pregnancy and birth experience shaped me into who I am today. There were moments where I felt strong and instinctive. But there were also moments where I simply wished I had more space to ask questions, understand my options and feel supported as everything changed around me. Becoming a mum brought the things many women quietly experience like sleep deprivation, feeding challenges, Identity shifts and the realisation that this transition deserves far more care and support than most of us expect or receive. My training to become a doula, yoga teacher and antenatal educator, helped me on the road to healing from my experiences and I now feel deeply passionate about bringing this support to my local community so that mums can avoid similar experiences to mine. Today I support women through: Doula Support Continuous, personalised care through pregnancy, birth and early postpartum — helping you prepare for birth, navigate decisions so that you feel confident and feel supported once your baby arrives. Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga Movement and breathwork designed specifically for the changing body, helping you stay comfortable in pregnancy and recover gently after birth while connecting with other mums. My work weaves together:

Evidence-based information and clear signposting to support your decision making so that you can handle your appointments with confidence, enabling you to uphold your birth wishes and securing the positive birth experience you deserve. Allowing you to fully focus on enjoying your pregnancy knowing all the complicated conversations are handled.

Emotional steadiness for all the ups and downs your experience may bring, I’ll be by your side when you need it most. It may look like a msg to me in the night when you’re feeling worried or a visit in your home to run through all your questions, laying out all the potential scenarios providing you with complete clarity.

Gentle movement and breath work, to support you throughout, especially during birth when things feel intense or when you’ve had your baby and you are feeling overwhelmed and just need a moment to breathe. I’ll be available to listen deeply so you feel heard and can process your thoughts and feelings when things feel difficult. I’ll be there with you throughout, so you feel truly held knowing who you can trust.

This isn’t generic hand-holding support.

My support is grounded, calm and personal, centered entirely around YOU.

I can’t promise you how your birth will unfold.
But I can promise you this:

You will not navigate it alone.

So what does my support look like in real life?

I like to think of my doula support as holistic 1:1 care.

But what that really means for you is this:

During Pregnancy

Imagine we sit together in your home, we talk about what matters to you the most, exploring all the options and scenarios for your birth.

You will have me on WhatsApp — not just for logistics — but for the “Is this normal?” texts and the “Can we talk this through?” moments. I will be there for you when you need me the most.

You stop second-guessing yourself, you start trusting your instincts, you stop feeling like pregnancy & birth is something being done to you, you start feeling like an active participant in it.

You move from:
“I hope this goes okay…”
To:
“I feel ready for whatever path this takes.”

Even if things change, even if you need to make unexpected decisions, even if it doesn’t look how you imagined.

You'll feel confident, safe and empowered because you understand what is happening to you and all around you.

During Birth

I adapt completely to you, maybe you need massage and counterpressure, calm eye contact or someone to quietly anchor the room. Maybe you want help communicating your wishes, to allow you to remain in the birthing zone. We can practice gentle movement and breathwork, I’ll guide you into birthing positions that feel instinctively good for you and your baby to enable your labour to feel comfortable and for you to feel powerful. Imagine easing the intensity with movement and your breath reducing any fear and anxiety that arises when things feel overwhelming.

Or maybe we're at your home and you simply need someone making the tea, filling the pool and protecting your space. Your partner isn't standing in the corner wondering if they're doing it right. They're not frozen, watching you and trying to remember what the book said. They know what you need before you ask for it — when to step in and when to hold back, when to speak for you and when to just hold your hand. They're not a spare part. They're your person, fully present, because someone took the time to prepare them too.

After Birth

You’re not forgotten once baby arrives we reflect, process, we make sense of your experience. You’ll feel truly held, knowing you have someone to share all your thoughts and feelings with so that you can enjoy those early days.

I’ll be there for the practical too, I can hold the baby while you shower or fold a pile of washing, make tea and something nourishing to eat.

Whatever you need in the moment, so that you feel supported not alone.

Birth Packages -

The Birth Essentials Package

This package is suitable from the third trimester.

Mabe you’ve done this before and you are looking to heal from your previous experience or you find yourself constantly looking back thinking ‘Why did no one tell me...’ or ‘I wish I had prepared more...’  .

It’s also for you if you don’t need full antenatal education from scratch — but you do want continuity of care and someone fully in your corner so you feel fully supported so that you can own and enjoy your experience this time around.

You’ll receive:

  • 2 deep antenatal sessions in your home — so that when labour starts, you're not scrambling to remember what you read; you're already clear on what you want and how to ask for it
  • WhatsApp support from 27 weeks — so that those 2am worries don't spiral into 3am Google rabbit holes.
  • 24/7 on-call support from 38–42 weeks — so that when things start moving, the first call you make is to someone who already knows your whole story
  • Continuous birth support — so that you are never, at any point, the only person in that room advocating for you
  • A postnatal visit to reflect and land gently — because what just happened to you deserves more than a discharge leaflet
  • 2 weeks postnatal WhatsApp support — so that the first fortnight doesn't feel like you've been handed a baby and wished good luck.

Investment: £2100

The Enhanced Birth Package

For first-time parents who want guidance from early pregnancy and extended postnatal reassurance.

Everything in Essentials plus:

  • Support from the moment you book — so that you don't spend the first trimester suffering in silence, waiting until you're "far enough along" to get the help you need.
  • An additional antenatal visit so that you are fully prepared for birth and any questions that arise through pregnancy are carefully considered.
  • An additional postnatal visit — so that the emotional processing doesn't stop when the practical support does
  • 4 weeks of postnatal WhatsApp support — so that you have a soft place to land through those early weeks, not just the first few days

Investment: £2600

The Elevated Birth Package

For first-time parents who want full wraparound preparation and deep confidence.

Everything in Enhanced plus:

  • X3 Additional antenatal sessions — so that nothing gets left unspoken, and no scenario catches you off guard
  • Integrated antenatal education — so that you understand what's actually happening in your body, not just what you're being told to do
  • Pregnancy yoga support — so that you feel able to ease any pregnancy ailments, aches and pains to feel at home in this body throughout.
  • Biomechanics and Rebozo preparation — so that you and your baby are moving into the best possible position before labour even begins and during labour your partner knows how to fully support you with even more tools up their sleeve for your ultimate comfort.
  • 6 weeks postnatal WhatsApp support — so that you're supported through the whole messy, beautiful, bewildering first chapter of motherhood, not just the birth itself.

This is about more than birth.

It’s about how you enter motherhood with confidence.

Investment: £3150
