After the birth of my son, while navigating the rollercoaster of emotions and physical changes, my partner and I realized how invaluable the support of a doula would have been. Despite having carefully crafted a birth plan, I found myself going against it due to external pressures and a lack of readily available information. This experience reinforced the importance of having someone knowledgeable and supportive to advocate for your wishes and empower you to make informed decisions. This experience, coupled with a low rate of available doula care in Middlesbrough at the time, sparked a passion in me to fill that gap, ensuring other families have access to the support they deserve.

I am a certified Conscious Birthing Doula and currently completing the final steps of my registration under the guidance of an experienced mentor. I've always been drawn to caring for others, whether it's family, friends, or children. I genuinely enjoy practical tasks like housework and cooking, and I am a natural listener, with a genuine interest in people's stories. These qualities, combined with my training in my trauma-informed Conscious Birthing training, have further enhanced my compassion and the support I offer families throughout their birthing journey.
