Hi, I'm Letizia,
Welcome on my Doula.org.uk profile!
I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula based in Cornwall, specialising in supportin C-section births, offering holistic,compassionate,evidence-informed care and support to families throughout pregnancy, elective caesarean birth, and the immediat postpartum period.
I have a special passion for supporting women and their partners who are planning an elective caesarean birth as, I believe every birth, deserves to be respected, celebrated, and experienced with confidence, awarness and dignity.
Whether your caesarean is by choice or medical necessity, I am here to help you prepare physically, emotionally, and practically. Together we can create a personalised caesarean birth plan, explore your options, prepare for recovery, and help you approach your baby's birth feeling informed, calm, and empowered.
My support continues beyond birth because I believe mothers deserve to be nurtured and cared for, especially after an major abdominal surgery.
Postpartum Care & Nurturing Support:
The weeks after birth are a sacred time of healing, rest, and connection.
My role is to care for you while you care for your baby, creating a calm and nurturing environment where your whole family can flourish.

• Emotional support and a listening ear
• Nourishing home-cooked meals to support healing and recovery
• Elective C-section recovery support
• Caesarean scar care and healing guidance
• Belly binding
• Sobada abdominal massage
• Pregnancy and postpartum massage
• Placenta rituals, keepsakes, and nutrition
• Yoni steaming and herbal support (when appropriate)
• Newborn care and practical support around the home
•Baby massage
• Rest and recovery planning
Whether you need practical help, emotional reassurance, or simply someone to care for you, I will be there with kindness, warmth, and respect.
My Philosophy:
I believe pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are sacred transitions that deserve compassionate, individualised care.
I trust each woman's innate wisdom and her ability to make informed decisions that are right for herself and her family. My role is not to tell you what your birth should look like, but to support your choices, advocate for your wishes, and walk beside you without judgement.
I also believe that when a mother is nurtured, the whole family benefits.
About Me:
As a mother who has experienced a caesarean birth myself, I understand both personally and professionally the importance of feeling informed, supported, and empowered.
My own journey inspired my passion for helping families prepare for positive birth experiences and navigate recovery with confidence and compassionate care.
Originally from Italy, I now call Cornwall home. Living close to the sea and surrounded by nature reflects my holistic approach to birth and motherhood.
I love woodland walks, cold-water swimming, cooking nourishing food, and creating comforting spaces where families feel safe, respected, and cared for.
Alongside my doula work, I work as a Maternity Support Worker within the maternity wards at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) and as a Breastfeeding Peer Support Worker. I also volunteer as a breastfeeding peer supporter and with Doula UK, allowing me to continue supporting families within my local community;futhermore I'm organising a monthly walking's support group, in Bodmin, for new parents/mothers FREE to join so we can connect to each other and create our local postpartum community.
Through continuous professional development, I have trained in holistic doula care, birthkeeping, breastfeeding support, infant feeding, pregnancy and postpartum massage, Rebozo, belly binding, placenta care, postpartum nutrition, counselling skills, naturopathy, and traditional postpartum practices.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my work and who I am.
It would be an honour to support you and your family through your pregnancy, elective caesarean birth, and postpartum journey.
I look forward to walking beside you every step of the way. 💛
