My name is Louisa and I am here for you. I live in the leafy Wye Valley with my husband, two small but loud daughters and Hippo the dog. Before having my own children I was a nanny and then a qualified nursery practitioner, so I have been obsessed with children and all the chaos that comes with them pretty much my whole life! I am easy going, calm and above all passionate about all things birth. Through becoming pregnant with my first daughter and then having two incredibly different births I learnt how truly powerful birth is.  I learnt the importance of self belief and the importance of advocacy and the difficulties that a mother can come up against. I believe every woman is entitled to an empowering birth and I want to support women in having this in whatever form this means to them. As your doula I am here for you, I will hold your space, support you emotionally and sometimes physically, and most importantly I will help you make informed decisions and advocate for you when needed. Similarly post-natally I am happy to support in any ways I am needed, if its to cook your meals, walk the dog, entertain older children or just hold the newest arrival while you nap.
