About Me
*I am currently not taking on any birth clients however I am still offering postnatal support and private hypnobirthing courses*
I live in Watford with two young children and partner. We love dancing in the kitchen, reading books, cycling, yoga, listening to records and growing vegetables in our tiny garden.
If you have found your way to Doula UK, it very likely means you are curious about having a positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal transition. You may be starting to consider conceiving, on a conception journey or maybe pregnant already, where ever you are on your journey, I am so happy you are here and exploring how to make this life changing experience empowering with care focused around who you are.
However your journey towards parenthood has began, I work with you providing un-biased, physical, emotional and practical support that is centered around who you are and where you want to be. My role is not to replace a partner/husband/best friend/mother but to join your team and support everyone in working together towards a shared goal. I attend births in hospitals, at home and at birth centers.
A few years ago I found myself pregnant and really scared of birth. I went on to have the most positive and empowering experience. So, I quit my career, moved my life around and set myself on the path to supporting others in starting their journey into parenthood feeling the same way I did. I don’t think the importance of how parent/s meet their baby can be overestimated, it goes on to form the very foundation of their relationship together. I believe, parent/s that feel supported, empowered and confident are in the best position to trust their instincts physically and mentally as they navigate the fourth trimester and early years.
Inclusivity, individualised care and choice are at the heart of my practice. My passion is supporting pregnant people to have the birth that aligns with them. I am actively against discrimination in my work, and personal life, and am proud to be from a gay family.
If you’d like to know anything more about me or my services, please get in touch so we can arrange to get to know each other in real life!
