Megan Rossiter is a Birth & Postnatal Doula and Birth Educator in Surrey and SW London.
You're having a baby! Congratulations! And let me congratulate you once again on the fact you've already worked out that having a doula is going to make the journey you're about to embark upon, infinitely better.
So, since you're choosing who to welcome into your team at this vulnerable and important stage of life, let me tell you a little bit about who I am...
I've worked, in one way or another, in Maternity Care for the past 12 years, supporting 10,000s families across the world (First as a Student Midwife, then Birth Educator, Founder of Birth-ed® Method, Chair of Kingston Hospital Maternity Voices Partnership, Host of The Birth-ed Podcast, Perinatal Activist, Guest Lecturer, Key Note Speaker, Birth Activist and Published Author- Pan MacMillan 2026). I've stood alongside women and their families, every step of this journey for most of my adult life. I really do eat, sleep & breathe this stuff!
Whilst I can make my career look exciting and impressive on paper, what I really want you know is that I'm a mum, a friend, a daughter, a wife, a feminist, a human: who values kindness, friendship, justice, equality, cuddles, a cup of tea, a crisp and sunny autumn day, audiobooks, being silly, knitwear and picking up heavy things at the gym! A mum who's had wobbles herself, despite all her knowledge and experience, and who's been held and supported by a doula and seen first hand, exactly how life changing this kind of support truly is.
I pride myself on making difficult information easy to understand; having confidence and expertise to stand up for what is right; and breaking apart the polarising opinions that exist in every parenting conversation society seems to have; so you can birth and parent your baby, your way.
Whether you’re giving birth at home, in hospital, on a birth centre, via planned caesarean, or right now- you have no idea, I am here to help you find confidence in your choices, feel safe and supported throughout your birth and postpartum, however it happens.
How can I support you?
Pregnancy/Hyperemesis Doula Support
In a somewhat niche area of doula care, I am passionate about providing in person practical, emotional and advocacy care during pregnancy to women having a challenging time. Having suffered myself with severe hyperemesis gravidarum twice, I know how impossible it can be to keep your world functioning when you are utterly unable to function. Whether your pregnancy is complicated by HG, or other complexities of pregnancy, my bespoke support may include:
- Sharing information and support advocating for proper medical treatment.
- Emotional support for when things feel too much (I’ve been there, nothing you say will surprise me!)
- Support looking after older children.
- Personal care such as brushing your hair or running you a lukewarm unscented bath!
- Practical household support, tidying, washing the endless sicky towels, and sorting meals for the rest of the family.
Minimum booking 2 hours
£28/hour (one off booking)
£250 (package of 10 hours)
£600 (package of 25 hours)
Birth Doula Support
We vastly underestimate what it takes to give birth, and vastly overestimate what the maternity system can provide. My pregnancy and birth support fills in the gaping holes in modern maternity care. Trust is at the centre of all the care I provide, building a relationship where not only are you able to trust me, but you know I will always trust you too.
- On call support from 38 weeks of pregnancy.
- Antenatal support sessions to discuss your birth plans and get to know one and other.
- Free access to The Birth-ed Method (Value £97)
- 1 postnatal session/birth debrief
- Ongoing communication via WhatsApp throughout pregnancy
- Attendance at your birth, for physical, emotional and practical support throughout and in the early postnatal hours.
Care packages start at £2500
Postnatal Support
Perhaps the most vulnerable time in your adult life: the shift into parenthood (or parenthood again). You need to feel safe, trusted, supported and validated- and this is my speciality! Postpartum care packages are bespoke to your needs, but may include:
- Nurturing YOU, at this vulnerable time of transition.
- Birth debreifing and reflecting on your journey to this moment.
- Feeding support (breastfeeding/bottle feeding/pumping)
- Emotional support (a cuppa in hand and a shoulder to cry on!)
- Practical support (batch cooking for the whole family, providing healing and nourishing postpartum meals, tidying, holding your baby and running you a bath!)
- Help with older children, so you can hold your baby guilt free!
You can book my support for just a few hours a week in the early days, to several days a week longer term.

Overnight Postnatal Support
Sleep deprevation is one of the hardest aspects of new parenting. But you needn't do it alone. Booking overnight care with me, means you can sleep soundly in the knowledge your baby is receiving responsive care overnight and wake feeling like you're able to function again! For both breastfed and bottle fed babies, hands on support at what can be the most difficult hours of the day with a newborn is a game changer for your emotional health.
Overnight sessions are 9pm-6am.
