Welcome to my Doula UK page. My name is Melanie and I run Better Birth Stories - Hypnobirthing & Doula London. 

Whether it’s your first pregnancy or you’re an experienced parent, having a doula can make a significant difference in how you experience childbirth and the early days of parenting. A doula provides not just hands-on assistance, but also an emotional anchor that can help reduce stress and promote a positive experience for both you and your birth partner.

I know that birth can sometimes seem a bit daunting but I want you to know that you can do this. I will be there for you to chew through all of your antenatal options, ensure that both you and your partner are fully prepared for the birth and stay with you both until your baby is comfortably in your arms. 

Perhaps like me you believe that birth has a little bit more meaning and importance than just the action of a little person wriggling out of a larger person. That how we start our parenting lives matters and that we deserve to be supported through this life changing moment properly and with great care and respect. If so, then I would love to support you.

I have been working as an antenatal hypnobirthing teacher for over 10 years and have had the pleasure of preparing 1000's of women for their births, both in person and via my global selling online hypnobirthing course. Now my kids (I have 3 of them!) are a little bit older I have finally taken the opportunity to step into my doula shoes. So as of 2025 I will now not only be supporting women and their birth partners in their preparation for birth but walking alongside them as they take their birth journey.
