Pineda Llopart

Birth Doula & Mentored Postnatal Doula

Certified birth and postnatal doula. I am passionate about supporting women and their families during one of life's most transformative experiences.

Hi, I'm Pineda, a birth and postnatal doula. I live in Cardiff with my husband, my two children and our cat Biscuit. I am passionate about all things birth, pregnancy and postpartum, supporting families through this special time and creating a local community for mums and mums-to-be.

I am a good listener and love to help parents feel more confident, positive and calm. I work with them to take ownership of their journey so that it is the best experience possible.

The support I give to new parents after the birth of their baby is emotional, informative and practical. This includes help with simple household chores, preparing snacks, looking after the baby, caring for any other children, breastfeeding and bottlefeeding support, and anything else you need to rest and bond with your baby.

The birth of your baby is a special time, and you should receive ongoing support and care. I can't make decisions for you, but I can help you find the right information and resources so you can make informed choices. I'm here for you every step of the way, and will support all your choices.

I have supported parents in consultant-led unit, midwife-led unit, home birth, HBAC, and caesarean birth. I have experience with different communities. Every family is different, so I adapt the support I provide to your and your partner's needs.

The important thing is to know your options, so you can decide what feels right for you.

What clients say about me,

"Pineda visited us for a couple of months following the birth of my first baby boy. She was such a calming presence for us both, she gave very helpful and practical advice and was always so reassuring when I was unsure about anything. Having Pineda there really helped my confidence as a first time mum and I would certainly recommend her." Catherine.

"Pineda was a hugely reassuring presence during my second birth. During pregnancy, she took time to understand my preferences, providing evidence based suggestions and advice without pushing any particular agenda.
During the birth Pineda was wonderful. She was so gentle and caring, and had a very calming influence on me and on everything going on around me. She liaised confidently and proactively with the medical team on my behalf so that i could focus on the task in hand, and had great instincts about when to offer practical help and when to step back.
I have no doubt that her involvement resulted in a significantly better birth experience."
Beth.

Connecting Mothers

From my own experience of becoming a mother, I know how important it is to have a supportive community around you. That's why, in 2022, I created Pregnancy Circles, an antenatal class with a difference. In Pregnancy Circles, a small group of expectant mothers gather in a beautiful setting to relax, bond and learn about childbirth and the postnatal period. Our focus is on what feels right for each woman in the group, fostering a sense of connection and mutual support that extends beyond the six-week course. We believe that motherhood is a much more positive journey when navigated with the support of a non-judgemental group.

A year later, I created Postnatal Circles, which offers a space to share and reflect on the experience of motherhood with the support of the group and my own as an experienced postnatal doula. It is a mother-centred group where mothers and babies can relax, share openly without fear of judgement, and build a sense of community.
