About Me

I was born in Brazil and I have being living in London since 2008.  I have a great passion for the health care of women in general, but especially during pregnancy, postnatal and birth process.I began my journey as a Doula when I started to be asked by my massage clients to attend their birth.

I would like to help you to find confidence to follow your instincts. How you bring this new person into the world can determine so much in your parenting and the life of your child. I want to help you have the best possible experience in your childbirth and the early postpartum days, whatever that might mean for you!

I treat every family and baby I work with as an individual, with their owns needs and experiences separate from others. I would love to speak with you more about supporting you and your family with non-judgmental support and care.

As your postnatal doula, I will provide:

_ night shifts
– feeding support
– emotional support,
– baby-care, including bathing , nappy changing etc
– baby-sitting
– accompanying you to baby clinics, doctor’s appointments etc
– help with looking after older children
– help with household duties
– shoppping and running errands.

*Priscilla is a calm, lovely and peaceful soul. She knows a lot about pregnancy, physical condition, about mother’s and baby’s health. She is easy to like and she has the ability to make people feel appreciated and useful. She convinced me that I am a good mother, she taught me a lot of things and she made herself valuable and important to me and to my baby. Always there to assure me that I was capable of taking care of a baby. She managed to dissipate all my insecurities and make me believe in myself as a mother. Priscilla has a very cheerful and positive attitude; that helped more than everything else. I was in a very bad physical condition in the first weeks. Priscilla helped me with the house things, the baby baths and everything that was hard for me to do. She cooked, she did my shopping, she gave me massages, at the time I was moving to another house and Priscilla helped me with that as well. She fed my baby and made him sleep when I was too week or tired to do it. *My husband and I were expecting our second baby and knew that we wanted someone with us to help us achieve a natural birth. We felt an instant match with Priscilla as her attitude and approached match ours. She is very positive, knowledgable and experienced and we felt in very safe hands. The sessions in advance of the birth were vital in enabling my husband and I to express our feelings, hopes and really listen to each other. Priscilla equipped us with the confidence and knowledge to make our own decisions, which came in vitally important on the day. We both went into the labour relaxed, confident, positive and happy. The birth couldn’t have been better, though not exactly what we planned, it was much better. Priscilla was always on hand and found the right balance of supporting and observing. *”Priscilla is a caring, honest and very intelligent person. She was always able to provide me with a different outlook on things, which was essential when considering different birth options. She was very informed, and provided me with many relevant resources to support my choices, or to consider other choices under a different light. She was unbiased, and always respected my final wishes. During labour, she was a strong pillar of support that I leaned on when things got scary or overwhelming for me. She was always there for me, massaging, caring, encouraging__ but she was also capable to step back and give me the space I needed when I needed it, so she was clearly very sensitive and intuitive towards my wishes during the different labour stages. *”Having Priscilla as our Doula was a wonderful experience, one I wish all mothers and fathers could experience. Priscilla really took the time to connect with me as a woman and mother and also my husband, as well as us as a couple. Her warmth and loving support was invaluable in the lead up to the birth, and her wonderful massages were nurturing and healing as well as very relaxing! Priscilla is always full of tips and suggestions to assist with whatever is bothering you, and she has the most loving and un-judgemental manner.
Despite two natural deliveries, this third birth did not quite go as planned and I ended up having to have an emergency caesarean. However, I went into labour naturally and laboured peacefully all night at home on my sofa with Priscilla at my side. I will always remember that strange and magical night, with Priscilla massaging my feet, whispering encouragement and plying me with herbal tea and hot water bottles. It was such a peaceful and special time. We reached hospital and after many more hours of labour assisted by Priscilla ( she did not leave our sides), it was decided that an emergency c section was needed as I was not dilating and the baby was distressed. Understandable this was a shock and quite confronting, but having Priscila there to reassure us that it would be OK, and that this was what needed to happen was simply wonderful. After my beautiful and very healthy baby girl arrived, Priscilla stayed to chat with us and make sure we were ok. Her genuine love and concern was so wonderful especially since we are from Australia and had no family here.
Over the next few days in hospital, Priscilla’s visits were fabulous – gentle massage and soothing touch really assisted a difficult recovery.
I cannot thank Priscilla enough or recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a very special birth support, no matter how that birth turns out!
