I believe that birth matters and that our postpartum experiences matter.
We all deserve to feel supported as we navigate the transitions of pregnancy, birth, parenthood. Support that respects and values us as the experts on our own lived experience, community care, connecting in circles of support--as a mother and as a doula, I feel this is what we need now more than ever.
As a mother to four children (with a not-altogether-straightforward journey through parenthood myself), I know from experience how disorienting it can feel when the journey takes an unexpected turn, and how hard and painful the weight of isolation in motherhood can be. I will meet you where you are, whatever that looks like, and I will respect you as the expert on your own reality and lived experiences.
I have a special interest and experience in:
- supporting healing after difficult or traumatic birth experiences.
- supporting families of children with disabilities / medical need.
I offer standalone support for these issues, or integrate support with doula care.
It's important to connect with the right doula support for you. You are very welcome to book a free initial consultation to ask questions and to see if we are a good fit.
(Note: I am not attending births in person at this time. I am available to support antenatally and postnatally, as well as virtual support.)
What people say:
"Rebecca supports you by standing alongside you where you are at and really sees you. She can do this because of the lessons from her own journey and walking her own path. For me, this is priceless and exactly what I need."
