About Me

Hello my name is Sally. How exciting that you are needing to hire a Doula.

I have 3 children, the first was born in my late 20’s and the last in my late 30’s. Two were born in hospital and the last at home. I have a boy and 2 girls, the youngest who is a about to go off to university. This now gives me the opportunity to devote my time to supporting and caring for new Parents before, during and after birth. I found the experience of pregnancy and childbirth an extremely positive and magical time. I have devoted my life to raising my beautiful children. Fundamentally, I gave them buckets of unconditional l love which has paid off as they have become secure and well adjusted human beings. I feel extremely proud of who they have become. I feel these experiences give me the knowledge to support you through this precious and magical time both practically and mentally.

I would love to get to know you before the birth and discuss what your wishes and expectations are. My aim is to alleviate any fears or worries as well as answer any questions so that when the day comes, having got to know you, I will be there with you throughout supporting you and your partner. I want to make sure you and your needs are fulfilled and you feel supported and listened to. I am flexible and will help you to adapt to any situation as circumstances dictate.

As a postnatal doula, I will be available to help with whatever is necessary to support feeding your precious little bundle and maximise the bonding process. I can turn my hand to most things from chatting, making the tea to walking the dog and lots inbetween.

”Sally  supported one of my clients who is a potential victim of human trafficking before during and after the birth of her child. Sally showed extreme sensitivity during this process and built up a good rapport with the client in order for her to feel comfortable with her presence and support during the birth. My client cannot speak any English and Sally was very aware of ensuring that communication was understandable through use of pictorial and translation services.She reassured the client by answering any questions that she had and was very mindful of the client’s cultural needs. During the difficult process of the client’s induction, which ended in a C section, Sally was on hand to answer any questions the client had and was easy to talk to. I have spoken to my client for feedback and she states the following,
