I am a wife, a mother and a doula. I live in South London with my family and our spur-thigh tortoise, Kiseki. After 11 years of motherhood, I decided to train with Doula UK as a postnatal doula.
The fourth trimester is a phase that is transformative. I aim to provide continuity of care and individualised support tailored to my clients need, via a thorough postnatal planning session. I am ready to attend to the ebb and flow of emotions, physical changes and dynamic needs of this specific period.
My work as a doula is an extension of my maternal instincts, a celebration of how we are both incredibly delicate and powerful. I believe I have the requisite skills and the openness to fully support a mother.
Key areas I love cover:
- Overnight support
- Meal preps and cooking
- Present a dinner-night for you and partner
Thus, my approach to doula work is holistic and my methods; hand on, encompassing - physical, mental and spiritual health. Entering motherhood, we seek a spiritual experience by which to honour the family. In this, I see my role as that of a birth keeper.
