I never imagined I'd be doing this work. I spent 12 years in railway engineering (yes, really!), and I'd convinced myself I wasn't the "maternal type." But becoming a mum completely shifted everything I thought I knew about myself. What made the difference wasn't some magical instinct that suddenly appeared (though that fierce, protective love was very real!) - it was the support I received. People who saw me, validated me, and reminded me I was doing beautifully even when I doubted everything.
My experience is why I became a doula. I wanted to be that person for other women stepping into motherhood - someone who will back you up completely, respect your wishes, and ensure your voice is heard, not to advise or persuade, but to support whatever feels right to you.
I offer birth preparation and postnatal doula services to families in Hampshire & Dorset, and virtually across the UK. I particularly love working with first-time mothers.
I’ll support you emotionally and practically to prepare for birth and make informed decisions that feel right for you. And I’ll be by your side while you find your rhythm postpartum, holding space with zero judgement as you get to know your new baby and ease into motherhood. It’s such a huge and wonderful transformation. That’s not to say there aren’t moments of overwhelm and a mix of so many emotions all at once - having someone in your corner makes all the difference.
I’m a total social butterfly. I’m here for honest conversations and meaningful connection, and a good laugh when it's needed!
If you’d like to chat about working together, nothing is off limits. Reach out - I’d love to hear from you!
