About Me
I live in Woodford Green, I am an Essex girl born & bred and a Mum to two fantastic kids. My daughter has now graduated and lives in Sheffield and my son is studying at university in Liverpool.
After 30 years of working in Central London, mostly in womens’ fashion and recently in private equity, I took the time and headspace that lockdown allowed and retrained as a birth and postnatal Doula with Kicki Hansard’s Birth Bliss Academy. I genuinely feel being a Mum is what I was put on this earth to do and I love supporting women and mothering the mother. My friends tell me I love to laugh and I make people laugh, which is always a good foundation to build a relationship on.
I want Doula Power to give parents the knowledge and confidence to have a positive birth experience. I help prepare women to become the fabulous mother they may or may not realise they are. I give my time and care to educate parents with evidence-based information, in addition to providing practical and emotional support before, during and after birth. No two Mums, pregnancies, births or experiences are the same and as hard as it is, let’s not compare. You will feel empowered to make confident decisions that are right for you and your family. Having a Doula reduces the chances of interventions and will ensure your lifelong memory of birth is a happy one. Not only is a baby born, but a Mother is born and this is where Doula Power can help families navigate the fourth trimester and beyond. Services I offer are:-
