I’m married and a mum to three grown-up children, and a grandchild. My birth experiences were each so different — my first was assisted, my second was incredible (I finally learnt to breathe properly!) and my third was quick. I never imagined myself married with children, but life has a beautiful way of surprising us. Now, my family are my world, and watching them grow has been one of my greatest joys. I even see a little bit of myself in each of them! Their unwavering support for me as a Doula means everything.
Why I’m a Doula
Every birth is unique, and I learn something new each time. Women are beautifully designed for pregnancy, and within them is an instinctive wisdom that sometimes just needs a little help to resurface. My role is to support you in reconnecting with that inner strength — helping you trust your body, your instincts, and your choices.
This incredible journey into motherhood can be one of deep personal growth, courage, and empowerment. I’m here to offer reassurance, share knowledge, explore comfort techniques, and ease any fears you may have as you prepare for your birth. From breathing, meditation, singing, and gas & air, to understanding all pain relief options — we’ll talk through what feels right for you.
Your body knows what to do. Believe in it.
Your Body. Your Birth. Your Choice.

🌸 Additional Offering
I also offer a gentle postnatal massage with hip wrapping, as part of a postpartum ceremony — a nurturing ritual designed to bring warmth, closure, and healing to new mothers. This is especially meaningful during a time when many feel physically and emotionally open or vulnerable after birth.
Final Thought - The early days and weeks after birth can feel overwhelming, and having a calm, supportive presence to help with the little things — or simply to listen — can make a world of difference.
Sharon possesses a rare mix of sensitivity-kindness-sense of humour-warmth and calming influence. Aswell as having a newborn I also had an eighteen month old and really needed an extra pair of hands. Nothing was too much trouble and the calm dedication she shown in caring for my baby was outstanding. When caring for my son she showed a sense of humour and involved him in her tasks. Sharon was never a stranger in our home or to our family.Charlotte:
We decided to use Sharon's services after having her recommended by a hypnotherapist. We were hugely impressed with her warmth and positive attitude and we immediately felt at ease with her. After a difficult birth of our first child, it was important for us to have a doula to help make things easier the second time around, and Sharon was superb at doing that. She helped us to focus and be calm before the birth with breathing exercises and meditation and she always made herself available if we needed her. She was really helpful in giving us information on our birth plan and on what to expect in the hospital. She was a steady and calm presence at the birth, pro-actively dealing with the midwife and ensuring that labour progressed as it should. She also provided excellent support afterwards. We would definitely recommend her services - Natalie and Rick.
