Hi, I’m Sophie - Birth & Postnatal Doula, Hypnobirthing Instructor and Mother to one lovely & cheeky little boy.

It's a huge privilege to be trusted to witness and support someone’s journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. My care for you will be sensitive, informed and kind. Birth is a transformative rite of passage that shapes the mother we become. It does not have to be a scary experience that 'happens' to us. Being the decision maker in your experience can lead to a confident, empowering and positive birth. Giving birth and becoming a parent can feel overwhelming as well as exciting. We will build a close relationship and ride the wave of pregnancy, birth and postpartum together. I will be by your side and advocating for your choices, whatever they may be - every step of the way. 

Alongside antenatal preparation and birth support I also support families postnatally. I will provide you with emotional, practical and informative support as you nest at home with your new baby. Do you and/or your partner want to rest, nap or take a shower? No problem! I am able to help you care for your new baby. Cooking is my love language, I will make you delicious and nutritious meals plus endless cups of hot tea. I can carry out light cleaning or tasks around the house. Above all I will offer you emotional encouragement and a non judgemental listening ear.

I live in Sutton with my Husband, Son, French Bulldog and Cat - yes, the house is far too busy! I love slow days at home with my family, drinking too much coffee, enjoying laughter with friends, spending time in nature and of course a good glass of red wine.

• 10 years working in the Metropolitan Police dealing with challenging situations and people from all walks of life
• Fully insured with valid DBS and first aid
