About Me
Hi I’m Tamsin, mum and PA to 3 inspiring girls. I love animals and the great outdoors. Family adventure with dogs and ponies is my happy place, so living by the sea and the New Forest is literally living the dream for me. I am partial to coffee and cake, being with family and friends and binge watching a good boxset too. I volunteer for Families and Babies (FAB) as a breastfeeding peer supporter and for Doulas Without Boarders, providing vulnerable people with support.
As a doula I am passionate about providing a service that respects you as an individual by getting to know you, being present and listening to what you need and want. I will provide you with information so you can make empowered choices and feel in control during birth. Combine this with emotional and practical support you will have the freedom to tap into your intuition to guide you through birth and parenthood. “Knowledge, you may get from books but wisdom is trapped within you, release it.”
― Ismat Ahmed Shaikh
If you have a birth partner I have got their back too through this monumental journey. The experience of birth and becoming parents is one you will remember clearly for the rest of your life. My job is to give you both confidence and reassurance to make it a positive one.
The space in which you give birth and adjust to the new dynamic has a big impact on your experience. So I get super excited helping you create a safe, peaceful and honoured place that is just right for you and your baby.
There is a spiritual side to me and I have training in Reiki, mindfulness and meditation that I can bring to the table if you wish.
Before becoming a doula a was a teacher specialising in social, emotional, behavioural and communication difficulties and I worked with young adults with a range of learning difficulties. This is where I discovered the importance of individualised support and starting at the ground up with safety, self-esteem, self awareness and communication skills. From this, true confidence and autonomy can grow. This is something that I bring to all parts of my life as a mother, friend, daughter, wife, auntie and doula.
