Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page.
I know it can feel overwhelming looking for someone to support you when you might feel at your most vaunerable so I will do my best to not go on to long but let you know a little about me as well as how I can support you. If you like what you read please get in touch and we can have a chat or zoom.
My role as a doula is to be an emotional and practical support for you and your partner (if you have one) through this incredible, and let’s be honest, sometimes overwhelming journey.
I’m not here to take over or tell you how to do things but instead help build your confidence so you can be the parents you want to be.
I will help make sure you know where to find evidence-based information so you can approach your birth and postnatal period feeling confident that you’re making the decisions for you and your baby.
If I don't have the answers I have an incredible support system of doulas and other professionals I can seek advice for you from.
I have found a real passion in postnatal and especially night roles as the nights allow me to balance doing a job I love while being a very present and involved mum to my 2 boys.
I'm there in the 4th trimester to help you adapt to your new normal, rest, recover and be there for emotional support and reassurance.
I can help with light housework, run errands and just give you that time that you need in those first weeks/months.
I guess it would help knowing a little about me........
I live near Epping with my incredibly lucky husband, two boys aged 7and 10, and our king of the house cocker spaniel puppy Cooper (because life with 2 kids isnt crazy enough).
I love spending time with my family, walking the dog, horse riding and hiking. I’m partial to a pub lunch or two and my weekends are spent watching my eldest son play football while the youngest builds incredible designs with lego.
I was a nursery nurse for several years before heading off to work on a ranch teaching western horseriding in San Francisco with Camp America.
Once home I was a nanny for 18 years before being lucky enough to have 2 children of my own.
While raising them I studied antenatal and postnatal care before doing my doula training.
Since becoming a doula i have really taken to night support but depending on hours needed am also able to offer Postnatal day support at times.
I have spent the last 9 months supporting 3 clients (most clients are around 6-12 weeks) which has been incredible but now have availability to start a new journey with a new family
I LOVE my job.
Its a true privilege to get to do this.
I love getting to meet new families, watching their confidence grow and new family life take hold.
Please feel free to get in touch for a chat and I can explain all the options if you would like to know more.
Thank you.

We knew we were in good hands from the moment Tara entered our house! Her warmth and expertise were so helpful as we navigated the first few weeks of parenthood, especially in those tricky evenings early on. Tara is supportive, knowledgeable, and a true cheerleader. Her support helped us build confidence and also allowed us a precious few additional hours of sleep. We're so grateful for her help and would recommend her to anyone looking to hire a doula!
A Heartfelt Endorsement of Tara
From our first meeting, Tara made me feel like we were old friends, providing the comfort I desperately needed as a new mother recuperating from health issues. She entered our lives when we most needed support, quickly proving her expertise during our detailed planning sessions. Tara was thoughtful and respectful, aligning perfectly with my parenting approach, and her advice on motherhood and baby care was invaluable. Her friendly and empathetic demeanor made our interactions a pleasure.Tara's weekly visits were crucial, offering us a chance to recover with a good night's sleep, while her extra help around the house greatly lightened our load. Under her care, both our son and even our shy dog, Chewy, thrived.
The Perfect Nights Rest
We have used Tara for overnight care for our newborn and was so happy we did! She is absolutely so knowledgable and even when my little one was all snuffly and had conjunctivitis i felt totally happy leaving her with Tara. She looked after our baby perfectly giving us a full detailed description of everything that happened through the night and we got to have really good nights sleep. Highly recommend Tara and her services.
Wonderful Support
Tara has a gift with children. From the moment she arrived, both us and our baby have felt in such good hands. She has a reassuring and loving energy as well as a lot of practical guidance. Tara supported us through a very tricky time with sleep regression and feeding, I don't know how we would have got through it without her!
Please feel free to get in touch for a chat and I can explain all the options if you would like to know more. Thank you. Tara x
