Welcome to my page and congratulations on your pregnancy!
Hello how are you feeling right now?
Excited? A little overwhelmed?
It’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions, and this is where my doula support can make such a difference.
A bit about me…
I’m married to Ian and have a grown-up daughter, Mollie. She was born after an emergency caesarean following an unsuccessful round of IVF, an experience that taught me so much about the rollercoaster of pregnancy and birth.
I’m also a proud step-mum to two sons and a very proud nanny.
Before becoming a doula, I worked as a nurse, spending most of my career caring for babies, children, and their families on a busy Paediatric ward. Supporting new parents has always been close to my heart, and now, as a doula, I get to focus fully on guiding families through this incredible chapter of life.
How Can I Support You
I bring together my experience as a mum, nanny, aunt, and nurse to offer both practical help and emotional support, without judgement. I tailor may support to suit you and your partner/family. You are unique and your concerns, hopes and wishes are at the centre of the care I provide.
Here’s what that might look like
- Planning antenatal and birth preparation sessions around you and your partner. Your experience is unique, so your support should be too!
- Preparation for your Postpartum. What will make rest, recovery and getting to know your new born easier?
- Lending you birth equipment like a TENS machine, birthing ball, or peanut ball
- Access to my library of books on pregnancy and parenting
- Birth pool hire if you’re planning a home birth
- Finding reliable information on anything you’re curious or unsure about
- Helping you feel informed, confident, and ready for birth
My aim is simple, to make this journey less overwhelming and more empowering for you and your family, and for your baby’s birth to feel positive, however and wherever that may be.
During Birth
When labour begins, I’ll be there for you.
I’ll join you at home or your chosen birthplace whenever you feel you need me and stay by your side throughout.
I can:
- Offer calm, continuous support
- Provide comfort measures to help labour be more manageable
- Guide your partner to feel confident in their role
- Be your advocate, making sure your wishes are respected
- Help with feeding and bonding during those first magical hours after birth
I’ll stay with you until you feel settled and ready for me to leave. My role is to make sure you feel safe, supported, and heard every step of the way.
After Your Baby Arrives
Bringing a new baby home is beautiful, and sometimes overwhelming.
Between tiredness, endless chores, and adjusting to your new normal, it can feel like a lot.
As your postnatal doula, I can:
- Take care of household tasks so you can focus on your baby
- Play with older siblings while you bond with your new born
- Care for the baby while you nap, shower, or simply take a breather
- Offer overnight support so you can get some much-needed rest
Everything is led by you and what feels right for your family.
Additional Support I Offer
Alongside doula care, I also offer:
- Bespoke Hypnobirthing Courses, in your own home.
- Birth and Postnatal Preparation Sessions
- Closing the Bones Ceremonies
- Three Step Rewind for Perinatal Trauma
I have experience supporting all types of births including twin pregnancies and free birth. I can create a fully Bespoke Birth Package designed around your needs.
I am also a coach with The Birth Bliss Academy, supporting new doulas as they begin their journey.
