I can offer a variety of services and the type support is determined by the family's needs. You tell me what you need to ensure you have a positive birthing experience and I try to facilitate that.
I can help to batch cook in anticipation of baby's arrival, I can show you some birth movements to encourage baby into an optimal birthing position or I can research the most up to date data to help you make a fully consensual and fully informed decision about your birth. I can support you release fear or birth trauma through 3 sessions of the 3 Step Rewind process. I am trained in breastfeeding support and in IAIMS Baby Massage so support doesn't just fall away once your baby is here.
I am happy and willing to attend home and hospital , water and land, vaginal and belly births. I have lived and worked in the Community of Northern Ireland for 19 years including delivering training in baby massage, sexual health, personal development, mental health and wellbeing and LGBTQIA+ support.
I'm originally from Dublin via Shetland and Edinburgh and built a life and family here in NI in 2006 with my Antrim born husband, Pete. We have two wonderful little girls together.
I'm emotionally invested in the wellbeing of the people who live in this beautiful place. I am passionate about encouraging the empowerment of women in every aspect of their lives but especially in childbirth. The woman is the expert in her body and her baby and has an innate knowledge on how best to birth. I hope to work with clients in a way that helps them to feel like their voice matters, that they get a say in how they birth. I will provide emotional support and be a listening and positive ear if you are surrounded by negativity.
Some Feedback from a previous client (shared with permission): Through out my pregnancy journey I felt totally supported my Tracy, she has been my voice of reason on the days I had been worried about one thing or another. Tracy also holds a wealth of knowledge in all things pregnancy/ labour/ baby/ breastfeeding/ fear releasing/ trauma/ mental health related, so she was there for me in whatever I needed as well as teaching me which I found very beneficial. Tracy has a very gentle, respectful, and kind nature but was also 100% professional through this time. During my pregnancy Tracy really guided me mentally, physically, and nutritionally. She was my everything I needed wrapped into one person. I had the most beautiful, peaceful homebirth a girl could wish for and this was down to Tracy I would have had a very different experience if she hadn't been in my life. I cannot recommend Tracy highly enough and I owe her so much. I would also like to say all the work Tracy did with me through pregnancy and due to the peaceful birth, I have entered into this motherhood journey much more relaxed and confident than I ever expected.
