Birth Doula, IBCLC Babywearing Peer Supporter, Baby Massage Instructor, Holistic Sleep Coach
Hello, and thank you for reading my page. I am a mum to three boys and it was the process of learning to be their mother that I realised how important it can be to have some support during the early days of parenting. Sometimes we are lucky enough to get that support from family and friends, but more often than not, our loved ones have their own busy lives, or do not live near enough to us to offer sustained support. A postnatal doula can help to bridge this gap. When I work with a family, it is important to me that I learn about what is important to them, and work within their preferences. I can provide the space for new parents to get to know their babies, for rest, and to explore feelings about this big change. I have been supporting mothers with infant feeding since 2012, and know how important it is to feel confident with this important part of baby care as soon as possible.
Supporting parents in the early postnatal period inspired me to also begin support births, to provide continuity at this precious time. Taking time before the birth to explore goals and preferences both for the birth and postpartum is time well spent.
I have a special interest in supporting mental wellbeing and regularly update training in this area. I also love to cook and feed people!
