Hello!
I am Vikki (Calm & Mighty Birth) and I live in Stratford upon Avon. I have 3 of my own children (born in 2005, 2007 and 2018).
I am a nurse by background and moved into birth work in 2022, which is my real passion. My own 3 births (and 2 losses) have all been completely different experiences. The one constant theme, however, was the lack of continuity in care and the medicalised approach to, what should be in most cases, a perfectly 'normal' event. The essence of care seems lost and more women & birthing people seem to be left with unresolved and uncomfortable feelings from the experience rather than the joy and celebration that they should.
I would love to support you. To celebrate your pregnancy and prepare for the most positive birth on the day. There may be twists and turns, but you will feel empowered and supported to stay in control and make the (informed) decisions that YOU want to. You will have a friendly and supportive face with you throughout your pregnancy and birth so that you feel calm, comfortable and confident.
I have trained in 3-step rewind which is a process that can help to 're-package' any unhelpful thoughts and feelings that you might have from a previous birth. This can be really beneficial to do so that you can move forward with a more positive mindset. I am a Make Birth Better Champion & embody all of the values to promote a positive birth.
I am a hypnobirthing teacher which may help you with coping strategies for birth and beyond.
I have trained as an Infant Feeding Coach and can help you to consider your feeding goals and to support you in achieving them (whatever they are).
Postnatally, there are a number of ways that I can support you in a practical or emotional way. I teach baby massage which can be a lovely way to bond with your baby.
I work in a totally non-judgemental way. I am simply here for you and with you in whatever capacity you need.
Please feel free to get in touch for a chat and see how I can support you.
X
