About Me
Hello, I’m Victoria, and I live in south-west London with my husband and two children.
I provide practical and emotional postnatal support to families from birth to six months. This is a tender, incredible time after a baby is born, when families can really benefit from extra care. Maybe you’re planning ahead and considering a postnatal doula because you don’t have family nearby who’ll be able to help you after birth. Or perhaps you’re at home with your newborn baby right now and in need of some support and encouragement, whether that’s with feeding, infant soothing or your own physical recovery. Maybe things feel overwhelming right now, or you’re exhausted and just need some short-term respite.
I can help.
My services
We’ll always chat first about what your individual needs are, and I will work with you to find the best way to support you and your family. As a postnatal doula I can support you at your family home, with visits usually lasting three or four hours at a time. I also offer virtual support, including 45 minute postnatal planning sessions.
Postnatal support package
As your postnatal doula I will provide practical and emotional support for you during the first few weeks after birth. This might look like…
- Preparing nourishing food and snacks to replenish your energy stores
- And maybe just a cup of tea when you need it
- Feeding support, whether breast, bottle, expressed or formula (or a mix of all!)
- Keeping your household running whilst you focus on yourself and your family
- Taking care of your baby whilst you rest
- Providing a listening and empathetic ear
- Accompanying you to appointments or on outings.
Postnatal planning sessions
I believe it’s just as important to plan for your first weeks with your newborn, as it is to prepare your birth plan. In this session I can help you prepare for postnatal life and talk about how you might be feeling post birth, and what you can put in place to make your ‘fourth trimester’ run as smoothly as possible.
Please get in touch if you’d like to have an in initial chat, or to check my availability.
