Zoe Gardiner

Birth Doula

"Zoe helped and supported me through my pregnancy and all it threw at me, she also gave me the confidence to listen to my body and make informed choices on our care during and after the birth of my beautiful baby girl. I would recommend her services ten times over!!!"

Hi, I'm Zoe, I'm an autistic mother, a wife, a baker, a creator, a research scientist and full spectrum doula based in the North East.

I run Postpartum Matters CIC - a non-profit which supports women of all ages and stages whilst amplifying real and honest postpartum stories. Through this I also have opened a women's health hub in Hartlepool which offers lots of free to access support.

Birthing two children of my own - with each experience being very different and hard and magical in their own way - has shown me the power and transformation that occurs as you navigate pregnancy & birth and transition into motherhood. I want to be the person that can guide you through this time - to hold your hand, cheerlead you, support you at antenatal appointments or whatever else you may need.

I am passionate about women's health in general & supporting women+ through important times of their lives by providing advocacy, signposting & support. I hold space for you through active listening, guided visualisations, creative journaling & so much more. Meeting you where you are at, always, to help you have the experience you want, that feels good for you! I can also offer full antenatal education, infant feeding support and birth biomechanics training.

My full package is £1200 or 12 monthly payments of £100 - this can be broken down further if needed. This includes four antenatal appointments with me, for me to be on call for your birth from 38 weeks pregnant. I will attend your birth from whenever you need me and I also offer four postnatal appointments with me. You also get access to my birth pool, my TENS machine, my peanut ball and other comfort measures for birth, plus free sling hire for the first 40 days postpartum as well as access to a library of books and resources.

"Zoe was pure blessing during my pregnancy and labour. I'm grateful we found someone so kind, understanding and supportive to accompany us on our journey. As little anxious first time parents, we truly needed Zoe's calm personality. She was very accommodating with all our requests and wishes. She had answer to every question and provided us with many resources to make informed choices."
