Birth & Postnatal Doula

Empowering families to have the best birth and postpartum experiences

Hello! I am Rebecca. An experienced Lactation Consultant and Birth Doula in London. I have 5 wonderful children and the births that I experienced with them, is what ultimately led me to becoming a Doula. I aim to advocate, empower and educate families to have the best birth experience possible for them.

It doesn’t matter to me what sort of birth you’re planning; whether it’s a planned Caesarean birth or a completely natural/holistic birth. What matters to me is how you feel about it afterwards.

Over my years working with families, I have unfortunately come across lots of birth trauma. This tends to revolve around decisions being made during the birth which led to family feeling out of control and like they didn’t have a voice. As your Doula, I advocate for you and boost your confidence about making decisions that are right for you and your baby.

Sadly, the UK maternity system is so overstretched and underfunded that you often see different Midwives or specialists each time and have to explain your story again and again.

Having a constant companion there from the start can really help you feel supported and cared for. I will know your story, your birth preferences, and how you want things to go. I will ensure that you feel respected and listened to.

I have a passion for providing personalised support, and it's the heart of everything I do. Navigating the maternity system can be challenging, but with me by your side, you'll have unwavering support and guidance. Unlike others who are bound by hospital policies and shifts, I am solely dedicated to serving you and your unique needs.

I am often booked up months in advance, as my services are in demand. If you're interested in my services, please book a free initial chat below.

  • I will join you whenever you feel you need me either in your home or at hospital, depending on your plan.
  • I will offer you- and any birth partner(s)- continuous emotional, physical and informational support from when I join you in established labour, until you and baby are settled (usually 1-2 hours after baby’s birth)
  • I will offer you any assistance you may need with establishing feeding after the birth.

After your birth

  • I’ll visit you at home. This is usually within the first two weeks. During this visit we will debrief your birth experience, I can offer you expert feeding support and any other practical or emotional assistance you need.
  • I will support you by email or text, with questions about the postnatal period, sleep, baby care, and breastfeeding, for as long as needed after. My goal is for you to feel well supported in your postpartum journey.
