Director and Head of Commercial Partnerships and EDI
Ann Marie is a passionate perinatal educator and doula who believes every mother deserves an informed voice and a positive, empowered birth experience. Her work is driven by a mission to look critically at doula practices and the wider maternity sector, ensuring they are truly fit for purpose in the 21st century.
In her role with Doula UK, Ann Marie bridges her doula heart with a sharp commercial mind. She draws on her extensive corporate background as a Digital Marketing Strategist Director to forge meaningful partnerships and champion diverse and inclusive practices. Her goal is to build sustainable, strategic alliances that elevate the profession, increase access to doula support, and ensure the organisation's growth benefits every member and the families they serve.
When she's not advocating for the future of doula care or supporting clients through their antenatal journey, Ann Marie enjoys singing professionally or cooking at weddings, birthday’s or corporate events.
Director and Head of Community Engagement
Mum to three home-born boys, Charlie is a doula living and working in Bristol, where she also works in events. Charlie officially began her doula training in 2020, but was already making art connected to the maternal form, in her teens. Charlie volunteers with Doula UK as a Director, and has a particular interest in speaking with members to help improve the Doula UK community experience. As well as being a busy doula, she is a School Governor, volunteers with Project Mama to support refugee and asylum seeker mummas, and with Mothers for Mothers, a perinatal mental health charity in Bristol. Charlie relaxes with yoga, twice-weekly saunas and the odd game of cricket.
