Celebrate 25 Years of Doula UK on 17th October 2026

Earlier this year, we asked for your ideas on how to celebrate Doula UK's 25th anniversary, and we were delighted by the response. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your thoughts. Your ideas have shaped the celebrations, and we're excited to share what's taking shape.

Everyone knows that some of the best things happen when we get together and break bread. Twenty-five years ago, the first iteration of Doula UK was born around a kitchen table. In our 25th year, we're inviting members to come together once again, simultaneously across the country, in a collective return to the Doula's Kitchen Table.

These local gatherings will be an opportunity to meet other doulas in your area, strengthen existing relationships and build new connections rooted in the values that unite us. They'll be a chance to celebrate one another and the vital work we all do alongside families.

The exact shape of each gathering will be created by the people around each kitchen table. You might choose to share a meal together, and you'll also be invited to take part in a series of guided activities designed to spark conversation, inspire fresh ideas and imagine the next 25 years of Doula UK.

Get involved

We're now looking for members who would like to help make these gatherings happen across the UK on 17th October 2026. Whether you'd like to host a Kitchen Table in your area or simply attend one nearby, we'd love to hear from you!

We'll provide organisers with:

• an event guide full of ideas and inspiration

• a resource pack with materials for your gathering

• access to a small grants fund to help reduce barriers to participation.

Grants can be used for refreshments, venue hire (if your gathering outgrows your kitchen table!), travel support for attendees coming from further afield, or anything else that will help your event run smoothly.
