About Me
I’m Abby and I completed my birth and postnatal training as a Continuum Doula in October 2022. I’m a Medical Herbalist, Naturopath and Mama who has a special interest in supporting women experiencing difficulties with fertility and all aspects of reproductive, hormonal and emotional health. I’m so excited and honoured to now be able to offer my skills and services to families all the way from pre-conception to postpartum. Before I became a Herbalist I trained and worked as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with the NHS.
Pregnancy following loss and/or a long journey TTC is especially close to my heart and I have an understanding of the complex and unique feelings and anxieties that may accompany pregnancy following these circumstances.
I have been drawn to the world of Doula work for many years and the seed of interest in becoming a Doula was planted back when I was living in Ireland completing my Herbal and Naturopathic studies. It wasn’t until I was fortunate to have a the most wonderful, supportive Doula of my own who helped me feel heard, empowered, held and supported every step of the way during my own pregnancy that I felt unable to ignore this call and jumped at the opportunity to complete my Doula training through the wonderful Continuum Doula course following the birth of my daughter.
It is my hope that every woman and birthing person can enjoy a perinatal experience where they feel held, nurtured and able to truly revere themselves during this important time of transition.
