About Me
I am committed to ensuring that every woman and birthing person is able to safely and meaningfully decide all aspects of their reproductive life, including whether to have children or not, as well as be on the driving seat during all pregnancy and birthing choices, and throughout the adventure that is post-natal life. I am deeply passionate about human and women’s rights and have worked in these field for over 15 years.
After the birth of my daughter in 2016 I gained a deeper understanding of the joys and challenges of pregnancy, birth and the post-natal period. I had a very positive birth with a wonderful doula. Yet, as a migrant woman living in the UK with limited support, I experienced first-hand the consequences of having limited support during the crucial time, and experienced post-natal anxiety and depression.
It is my passion for women’s rights and my personal experience that drove me to train as a doula. I believe that every woman and birthing person deserves to be supported through their pregnancy and birth, no matter what their socioeconomic background; and that they should receive culturally-aware and holistic support, regardless of their nationality or migration status.
I will provide you with information, practical and emotional support about pregnancy, birth and the post natal period. My support and the knowledge I share will empower you to make informed choices and I will support you so that your voice is heard before, during and after you have your baby.
I am a Member of Doulas Without Borders, and have experience working with migrant and refugee women, and women who have survived violence and trauma. I speak Spanish and English.
I trained with Leila Baker at Side to Side Doula in 2021-2022.
