About Me
I am a mentored doula, based between Brighton and South East London. I have ten years experience in the gender-based violence space and am passionate about supporting women* and people of minoritised genders to advocate for their rights, to live empowered lives, and to exercise bodily autonomy. *self-identifying.
I offer pregnancy, birth and postnatal support to birthers and families of all shapes and sizes. I am committed to offering person-centred care and walking alongside you on your journey, supporting you to make informed decisions that are right for you. If you have a partner I can support them to be the best birth and parenting partner they can be, and prepare them to look after you as needed.
As your doula it is my job to advocate for you, support you to advocate for yourself, and inform and educate you so that you have all the tools you need to birth and care for your baby. I am there to liaise with health care professionals on your behalf, if you wish, and to ensure all your questions are answered. I will work with you to ensure you understand what to expect from pregnancy and giving birth as well as what comes after.
I can support you in your home once the baby/babies have arrived, by offering breastfeeding information and guidance, respite so you can take a shower, cooking, cleaning or dog walking. I can be a listening ear if you would like to debrief about your birth experience, a shoulder to cry on or simply be an extra pair of hands.
I offer one-to-one or group-based hypnobirthing education. This can be added on to your antenatal support or attended separately and/or as part of a group.
I am an experienced advocate and always work in a trauma-informed, person-centred capacity. That means all of you is welcome here, and you will always be my focus.
