About Me
I live in Epping with my husband and have three lovely children Jake 28 Joe 24 and Amy 20.
My very different birth experiences are what has led me to want to help families by becoming a doula and it is a privilege to be part of this wonderful time. I like to spend time walking in the forest with our dog and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. After many years of working in a corporate environment, I retrained to follow my real passion which is supporting women through their child bearing years. As a birth doula I will offer my support through pregnancy, labour and birth. I will help support your individual choices with up to date information so you can birth your baby in a way that is best for you. I will respect your choices without judgement. As a postnatal doula my role is helping you to understand the changing dynamics a new baby can bring to a family and easing you into parenthood gently in a non judgemental way. Whether that is help around the house; being hands on with baby care or just a friendly chat. I am very flexible with hours and also offer night support.
I attended Kicki Hansards Birth Bliss Aspiring Doula Foundation Course. I regularly attend Doula UK networking events. I am an active member of the Essex Doula network. http://www.doulasinessex.co.uk/ I help run a local Positive Birth Group. I am an Access Fund volunteer and I volunteer for the Helen Bamber Foundation as a birth companion.
