Oversees the provision of membership services to our network of around 700 members (as well as Friends and Supporters) and ensures the organisation runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsible for marketing and communications (including delivery of the annual conference, the AGM and publication of a The Doula magazine), volunteer recruitment and management, web content management, day to day financial administration, educational events, and relationship management.
Head of Membership

The Head of Membership has overall managerial responsibility for the process and administration of DUK membership. She is the point of contact for all membership enquiries. She ensures all all material distributed internally and externally is in line with DUK brand guidance, and works closely with the Head of Mentoring and Head of Education to ensure consistency of approach and administrative process. She supports the recruitment, line management, and delivery activity of the Regional Rep Co-Ordinators, and the Area Reps. She works with the Organisational Manager to ensure that all members have a clear voice in the strategic and operational activity of DUK, and liaises with all members of the LT to ensure that the needs of the membership are a priority within our working practices. Finally, she works with the LT to regularly review the pricing and payment structure of DUK membership, and supports the membership and LT with the application of appropriate tone in communication and adherence with policies, procedures and code of conduct.
Head of Accountability

The Head of Accountability is responsible for ensuring that volunteers manage and deliver appropriate workloads. She supports the Head of Infrastructure in ensuring that the DUK Leadership Team is accountable to the vision, mission and aims of DUK.
Head of the Access Fund

The Head of Access Fund administers all applications and volunteer agreements for the Access Fund, ensuring as many women as possible can benefit from doula support, regardless of circumstance.
Head of Feedback and Referrals

The Head of Feedback and Referrals is responsible to dealing with all feedback and referrals, as well as complaints, both internally (within the Membership) and externally (issues pertaining to individual members or to Doula UK as an organisation).
Head of Mentoring & Infrastructure Lead

The Head of Mentoring (ordinarily a job-shared role) has overall managerial responsibility for the creation of and adherence to processes of mentoring within DUK. They are also responsible for the recruitment and induction of Doula Mentors and the coordination of Doula Mentors. They work closely with the Head of Education and Head of Membership to ensure consistency of approach and administrative process and support the design and delivery of introductory days and alternative entrance routes into Doula UK.
In her capacity of Infrastructure Lead, Alison oversees the constitutional and legal requirements of Doula UK, manages the Rep Coordinators, and maintains the records at Companies House.
Head of Education

The Head of Education oversees the approach towards, and processes of, education within Doula UK, has overall managerial responsibility for the creation and assessment of the DUK educational offer, the assessment and approval of all approved education courses, and the review and development of the core education curriculum. She takes administrative responsibility for all approved courses and course facilitators and works closely with the Heads of Mentoring and the Leadership Team as a whole to ensure a strong educational offering to our doula members.

Head of Policy

The Head of Policy oversees the development, presentation and implementation of all Doula UK policies. She supports the rest of the Leadership Team, ensuring policy adherence is embedded into the work of their departments and supports company-wide compliance with the Doula UK Code of Conduct. She remains vigilant to the emerging requirements for policy changes and additions and liaises with external audiences who require information relating to our policies.
Head of Finance (Treasurer)

The Head of Finance has overall managerial responsibility for the creation and presentation of financial records and reports for Doula UK, and supports the Organisational Manager and Head of Infrastructure in the creation of all financial administrative processes, and in lodging accounts and reports at Companies House as required. She supports the LT in understanding and responding to financial records in relation to their roles.
Jay contributes to projects and pieces of work across the board, wherever an extra head or pair of hands is needed. Jay is particularly interested in developing external relationships. and making positive contributions, such as promoting research or influencing and shaping policies which best support women’s choices.
